授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives	[Relationship to DP & CP] The purpose of this course, which is related to the Diploma Policy (DP), is to develop the practical Japanese language skills, particularly reading, that are essential for university studies and future international activities. This course is designed for non-native Japanese-speaking students, primarily international students. In relation to the Curriculum Policy (CP), this course is part of the general academic Japanese language courses offered within the university-wide common curriculum of foreign language courses, which are available in each faculty and department as a second foreign language. It is an advanced-level course, serving as the final stage of language proficiency development. [Course Objectives] This class is designed for non-native Japanese speakers with a sufficient level of proficiency to participate in advanced-level courses. The class involves reading texts and engaging in discussions. Its main objective is to enhance reading skills for understanding academic Japanese texts.
授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course	The class will involve round-robin reading (tag team reading), where all participants take turns reading the text during the session. Translation into a specific language will not be provided, but students are encouraged to translate for each other in a common language to aid comprehension. However, since the goal is to achieve a final understanding of the Japanese text through discussions in Japanese, students are expected to use Japanese as much as possible to discuss the text and express their understanding and opinions. Students are also required to submit their impressions of the reading content in Japanese at the designated time.
事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study	As before-study, you will be required to read through the Japanese texts scheduled for each class in order to get a general understanding of the content. This should take approximately one hour. No specific after-study activities are required.
