授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives |
本学期においては特にディスカッションやディベートなど口頭即応の技能を発展的に訓練する機会を設ける．ここでは自発的表現の正確さ?発話の流暢さのみならず，アカデミックな話題に対応する語彙並びに定型言語形式が適切に使用できることを目標とする．Provides opportunities to develop extensive oral interaction skills. Discussions and debates on various academic topics are introduced. Both accuracy and fluency are to be pursued in these productive activities. Students are expected to express convincing messages through elaborated management of impromptu structuring and selection of speech content. They are also expected to respond to unexpected situations and to be constantly aware of the appropriateness of the speech to the context. The class is taught/participated in English. |

授業の形式?方法と履修上の注意 ／Teaching method and Attention the course |
本授業では (1) manaba を教材提示?課題回収?評言返送に用いる，(2) グループ学習等により学生同士の意見交換の機会を設ける，(3) 教員は授業に先立ち必要な教材を提供する． In this class we ... (1) use manaba (LMS) for presenting learning materials, collecting assignments, and giving feedback, (2) provide opportunities of exchanging opinions among students by introducing group work and peer reviews of oral/written products, and (3) distribute learning materials in advance in combination with real-time classes. 授業は英語で行われ，学生も英語で参加する．受講者は毎回の授業において積極的に発言すると共に内容に関する十分な準備をして臨むことが求められる．授業内にディスカッションあるいはディベートを行い，成績評価の対象とする．English is the means of communication including student to student interaction. Students’ active commitment to the class as well as sufficient preparations for the topic issues is required. In each unit a discussion or debate is performed which counts for the grade. 課題に対する評価（フィードバック）は口頭?個別書面?オンライン掲示板等諸種のコミュニケーションツールを用いて行う．The teacher’s feedback on the assignment tasks will be provided through various communication tools. |

事前?事後学修の内容 ／Before After Study |
各回とも十分な予習?復習を必要とする．また，課題は必ず期限までに提出しなければならない．Requires sufficient review and preview of each class. Assignments must be submitted before the deadline. 予習時間の目安：20?40分 Time for preparation: 20-40 minutes． 復習時間の目安：40?20分 Time for review: 40-20 minutes． 配分は課題の内容による Time allocation depends on the target task． |
