授業の目的?内容 ／Course Objectives

（※担当者変更に伴い、シラバスが変更になる可能性がありますので、初回の授業で指示を受けてください。） Overall objectives: 1. Students write an argumentative essay in English with an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion. 2. Students will learn the the important parts of an essay such as a hook sentence, thesis statement, and topic sentences. 3. Students will learn to develop ideas logically and effectively in paragraphs. 4. Students will support arguments with relevant information. 5. Students will become familiar with various styles of English academic writing. 6. Students will receive guidance on essay writing process, from planning, to drafting, and revising. 7. Students will have opportunities to give and receive feedback. 8. Students will have opportunities to practice timed-essay writing such as tests for TOEFL or IELTS.
